Welcome to the Privacy Policy for WellSight ("WellSight", "we", "our", or "us"). WellSight is a screen-distance monitoring and digital wellbeing application developed by Prayo, an independent product studio based in India. This policy explains what data WellSight uses, why it uses it, and how we protect it.

Our Privacy Approach

WellSight is designed to keep the core monitoring experience on your device. Distance monitoring, alert decisions, continuous usage alerts, Focus Mode behavior, and app-behavior checks are intended to happen locally whenever possible. The app is built around data minimization: collect only what is necessary to provide the feature, and make monitoring obvious while it is active.

1. Information We Process

1.1 Information Processed On-Device

• Front camera frames for distance estimation: When monitoring is enabled by you, WellSight uses the device camera to estimate whether the phone is being held too close. These frames are intended to be processed on-device for distance estimation only.
• App usage context: If you grant usage access, WellSight can determine which app is in the foreground so it can apply your monitoring rules, exclusions, continuous usage alerts, Focus Mode behavior, and app-specific reminders.
• Monitoring history and summaries: The app can store local event summaries such as too-close alerts, monitoring sessions, and trends used in reports.
• Settings and preferences: Your thresholds, quiet hours, alert rules, Focus Mode choices, premium state display, notification preferences, and other product settings are stored locally on your device.
• Recorded voice reminders: If you choose to record your own alert message or use a personal message alarm instead of a generic alarm, that recording is stored locally on your device.

1.2 Information You May Provide

• Support email content: If you contact us, we may receive the information you include in your message.
• Custom reminder text: If you type your own TTS message, it is stored locally so the app can speak it back to you.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

• Crash diagnostics: If crash reporting is enabled in the app build, anonymized crash information may be collected to improve app stability.
• Basic analytics or subscription diagnostics: The app may use limited service-side events to understand whether premium purchase flows or critical app features are working correctly. We do not use this to create advertising profiles.
• Play Store billing state: If you purchase or restore WellSight Premium, the app may receive billing entitlement information from Google Play to unlock paid features.

1.4 Information We Do Not Intend To Collect

• We do not intend to store your raw camera images on our servers as part of normal monitoring.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not require a separate WellSight account to use the app.
• We do not use monitoring data to build advertising profiles.

3. Permissions And Device Access

WellSight requests permissions only for features it provides. Depending on Android version and your chosen features, these may include:

• Camera: to estimate viewing distance while monitoring is enabled.
• Usage access: to understand which app is active so per-app monitoring, continuous usage alerts, Focus Mode, and exclusions work correctly.
• Notifications: to show foreground-service state, alerts, and reminders.
• Overlay: when available, to surface a visible monitoring indicator or alert above the current app.
• Foreground service: to keep monitoring active while you are using your phone.

These permissions are used to make monitoring clear and controllable. You can turn monitoring off in the app, revoke permissions in Android settings, or uninstall the app at any time.

4. Premium And Billing

WellSight Premium purchases are processed by Google Play, not by Prayo directly. We do not receive your full card data. The app may use purchase status information supplied by Google Play to activate, restore, or manage premium entitlements.

5. Data Storage And Retention

• On-device settings and reports: Stored locally on your device until removed by you, the app, or through reset/delete options.
• Recorded voice reminders: Stored locally until deleted or replaced by you.
• Crash or diagnostic data: Retained only as long as needed to debug and improve the app under the third-party service's retention rules.

If you uninstall the app or clear its data, locally stored monitoring history, settings, and recorded messages may be deleted from the device.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information used by the app. The product is specifically designed to reduce unnecessary off-device transfer of monitoring data. However, no software system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

WellSight may be used by parents or guardians to support healthier screen-distance habits for children, but it is not intended to collect personal data from children for independent account creation. If you believe personal information was provided to us inappropriately, contact us and we will review the request.

8. Your Choices

• Turn monitoring on or off inside the app.
• Adjust which apps are monitored.
• Enable or disable continuous usage alerts and Focus Mode based on your routine.
• Choose a personal message alarm, custom TTS phrase, or recorded voice instead of a generic reminder sound.
• Revoke permissions through Android settings.
• Delete local app data through Android app settings or in-app reset/delete tools where available.
• Manage premium subscription state through Google Play.

9. Third-Party Services

WellSight may rely on third-party services such as:

• Google Play Billing for premium purchases and entitlement verification.
• Crash and analytics tooling where enabled in the app build for reliability and support.

Those services are governed by their own privacy terms and policies.

10. Medical Disclaimer

WellSight is a habit-support and informational wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

11. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When the change is material, we may update the date on this page and communicate the revision through the app or website.
